We were sort of tucked in between the mountains and up on a hill so the views were pretty nice and the area too. We did have full hook-ups. This was an old stagecoach and freight route and part of the Gold Belt Tour Scenic Byway from the ‘s. The shelf road took us on a dirt road through the lower part of the canyon and then up to the cliff side of the canyon. There were some pretty awesome views along the way. This road led us down to Canon City. It was very pretty with the red rock canyon in the background and the red dirt roads in the campground.
Follow me and my two young brats the name their father affectionately calls them as we travel and discover new places and new experiences. Because we didn’t have but 3 days here and the other couple was more interested in relaxing and gift shops, we only went to the few major ruin sites.

Case Study – Sizing a system for a pop-up camper trailer Author’s Notes: I am a professional renewable energy RE author and avid flyfisherman, and I’ve lived 12 miles off the power grid for the last 15 years, powering my home entirely from solar and wind power. I receive a ton of email each week with questions about the basics of designing RE power systems, ranging from tiny systems for a camper trailer to large home power systems.
This article is my attempt to explain the basics of it for a complete beginner.

Just stay on and it will bring you into La Veta. You will stay on that road until you come to Main St. From there you will turn left and go approximately 3 blocks to 2nd street where you will turn left and come into the park.
The owner even drove the DH into town to pick up our rental car. The animals wondering through are amazing to watch and the babbling creek flowing right behind most of the sites is so relaxing.

The upside to inconveniencing you with a phone call is that we answer the phones ourselves–you don’t have to push extra buttons or talk to a machine to get to a real person.
